Dates

  • Sunday, July 26, 2026 - JacHacks SF at Founders Inc, Fort Mason, San Francisco
  • Check-in: 8:00–10:00 AM PT
  • Hacking hours: 10:45 AM – 7:15 PM PT
  • Submissions close: 7:15 PM PT (hard deadline. late submissions are not accepted unless a technical issue affects multiple teams)

Eligibility

  • Open to everyone: students, professionals, founders, and first-time hackers
  • All team members must be registered on Luma and checked in at the venue
  • Teams can have up to 4 people; solo hacking is allowed
  • Organizers and judges are not eligible for prizes

Project and Submission Requirements

  • Projects must be built using Jac, with at least 40% of your code in Jac
  • All coding and building must take place during hacking hours (10:45 AM – 7:15 PM on July 26). Brainstorming and planning beforehand is allowed and encouraged.
  • All work must be your team's own. We will verify that winning projects were built by team members within the event timeframe, including checking GitHub commit history.
  • Use of AI tools, open-source libraries, and APIs is allowed — but your project itself must be original work created at the event
  • Misrepresenting what your project actually does or how it was built is grounds for disqualification
  • Each team may submit and be considered for only 1 project
  • Projects must be submitted on Devpost before the deadline, and at least one team member must be present to demo to judges
  • By participating, you agree to follow the JacHacks SF Code of Conduct

Code of Conduct

JacHacks SF is a harassment-free event for everyone, regardless of gender, gender identity and expression, age, sexual orientation, disability, physical appearance, race, ethnicity, nationality, or religion. Harassment of participants, organizers, sponsors, or judges in any form will not be tolerated. If you experience or witness harassment, or have any other concerns, find an organizer on-site or message us on Discord. We'll take it seriously and act on it. Organizers reserve the right to remove any participant from the event and disqualify any submission for violations of this code.
